So much to be thankful for.

Hello friends! It’s been a while, I know. The regular communications have become irregular at best.
 
We are still hurting, but we are healing. We took some time in August, but since then we’ve been back to work and to schooling the boys and to “regular” life. God has brought so much of the healing and comfort and peace that we pleaded with Him for. There is still pain, and Candice is still very weak (physically). But I can now say, confidently, that it has been a blessing, even if that’s not the way we would have planned it, or hoped things would go.  
 
And although we have been silent, at least in the official channels, we thank the Lord that you have been speaking into our lives. So many have shared comfort, their own stories, and have lifted us up to the Lord. When people talk about “missionary support”, it’s often referring to the financial aspects. You have shown us in this season that you support us spiritually and emotionally, too, in ways we wouldn’t have known how to ask.

Here rests our little guy, Samuel. A good friend gave us a plot, right next to where she will one day lie after she goes home to heaven. So many people have shared our burden, the medical expenses, the burial expenses, the heartache. . . and the joy that comes with seeing God at work.
 
So, we are thankful for many things. That our son (I fully believe) got to skip the troubles of this life and get a straight pass into glory. That we have all of you in our lives. That we have a Father God who is always good, even in the hardship─and that He has been, is, and always will be that way.
