Our support level!!!! WHOOHOOO!!!
Yes, praise God we now have 50% of our required monthly suport pledged! This is a major milestone for us and we couldn’t be more grateful!
The climb to 100% is getting more challenging, so we ask you to join us in prayer that we WILL reach this in 2013!!
Today, our first born turned two.
Let me introduce you to Jonathan:
Interests: He loves all things rockets, dinosaurs, and trains.
Favorite food: Sushi (relax, we only give him vegetarian sushi). He loves it so much he carries around a sushi menu just to gaze at and drool on. I’m not kidding.
Favorite past times: Playing with his train set and lego, doing puzzles, making you make things ouf of play dough, clearing out the tupperware cabinet and climbing inside to hide.
Favorite stuffed animals: Dino and Teddy. There is no sleeping without them both.
Favorite show: Mommy is pretty stingy with the screen time, but when it’s a special occasion she’ll YouTube a rocket launch and it just mesmerizes him. Everything from the announcer going through all the pre-launch data, the count down and the blast off, to the announcer checking off Machs and altitudes… It’s all so captivating to JayJay.
He is sensitive and caring with a great sense of humour. He is an observer-then-doer, meticulous, and thoughtful. He is very smart, but hasn’t yet harnessed that to be bad. If he is around people he doesn’t know, he appears to be a quiet kid… But once he relaxes, it becomes clear why we call him Parrot.
Happy 2nd birthday Jonathan! You will always be our baby XOXOXOX
Somedays I get overwhelmed with support raising. Somehow I lose sight of the dozens and dozens of miracles God has brought to our sending team… And instead become paralyzed thinking about how many more we need… Then:
Last Sunday two more monthly supporters joined our team and we received another one-time donation from our knitting lady, on Monday we received a surprise donation from a sweet and thoughtful friend in Manitoba, and Tuesday another monthly supporter joined our team… I’m humbly reminded that the Lord has his hand on this and it will all be in His precious timing.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
(6) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (7) And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We have some really big things going on and would love it if you could join us in submitting them to prayer:
- Work visa. We have an immigration lawyer reviewing our file… May the Lord grant him great wisdom!
- Support team. A few churches and families are currently contemplating supporting us financially. Again, may the Lord’s direction be clear and His will be done!!
- At times I get a little overwhelmed with this whole process… May I be more attuned to God’s peace and walk confidently in the Lord.
Thank you to all of you who hold us up in prayer. You are invaluable to our team and mean so much to us! If you have something we can pray for you for, please don’t hesitate to contact us through the email thingy on the upper right hand side of this page.
